These clients came to us with a home full of history: a family residence they had inherited and were ready to make their own. The challenge was that its traditional character, a dim living room and wall molding at every turn, no longer matched the way they wanted to live. Honoring the house meant reshaping it.

We approached the work comprehensively and structurally. We removed much of the wall molding, took down an unnecessary kitchen wall, enlarged existing windows, and added new ones, opening the interior to the natural light it had always lacked. Where the house once felt closed, it began to breathe.

From there, the finishes did the rest. New flooring, refreshed wall colors, faux beams, and recessed lighting worked in concert to bring the whole home current. The result is a lighter, more vibrant space that holds onto the bones the family loved, ready to accommodate and delight them for years to come.
